Fine Art Canvas Print - "Island Retreat"

I visited the island for a photography, sketching, and plein air painting trip, and finalized the original painting in my studio in Canada.

In this print, a simple stone house is perched on a sun-warmed hill overlooking the Aegean sea. I created a gentle path from the dwelling down to the shore, where I imagined a quiet morning ritual of bringing an Americano coffee down to the water’s edge. The vast, empty horizon, tranquil water, and barely inhabited landscape capture the profound peace of this remote corner of Naxos. My aim was to create a painting where the viewer could imagine themselves escaping from a hectic world, and relaxing on this secluded beach in the Greek islands.
